| We believe that God is the Father to the fatherless, (Psalms 68:5) and that we are all in need of being adopted by our Heavenly Father, (Galatians 4:5-7.) We believe that God does specifically care for orphans (James 1:27) and it is our responsibility as His children to care for those who do not have parents.

| The Morning Star Project was started in 2007 by Bill and Lynsay Lewis. Adoption and orphan ministry has been part of what has formed who they each are today. Adopted as a 4 year old, Bill has always had a desire to encourage others to adopt. Both of the Lewis' daughters were adopted as infants and as a family they ministered in an orphanage outside of Beijing for 1 year in 2006-2007.
